Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar - Houseboat Check-in & Shikara Ride
Welcome to Paradise! Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport (SXR), our representative will greet you and transfer you to the luxury houseboat on the famous Dal Lake. After check-in and freshening up, enjoy a welcome Kashmiri Kahwa tea while taking in the stunning views of the Zabarwan Mountains reflected in the lake. In the evening, experience the magical Shikara ride - a traditional wooden boat ride on Dal Lake. Watch the spectacular sunset over the lake as you glide past floating gardens, lotus blooms, and traditional houseboats. Your shikara-walla will share fascinating stories about lake life. Dinner will be served on the houseboat featuring authentic Kashmiri cuisine including Rogan Josh, Nadru Yakhni, and traditional Kashmiri Pulao. Spend the night gently rocking on the peaceful waters of Dal Lake.

Day 2: Srinagar Local Sightseeing - Mughal Gardens & Shankaracharya Temple
After breakfast on the houseboat, check out and transfer to your premium hotel. Freshen up and embark on a comprehensive Srinagar city tour. Morning: Visit the magnificent Mughal Gardens - start with Shalimar Bagh, the "Abode of Love," built by Emperor Jahangir for his wife Noor Jahan in 1619. Marvel at the Persian-style terraced lawns, fountains, and chinar trees. Next, explore Nishat Bagh, the "Garden of Bliss," the second largest Mughal garden with 12 terraces representing the 12 zodiac signs. The views of Dal Lake from here are breathtaking. Afternoon: Visit Cheshma Shahi (Royal Spring), the smallest but most elegant Mughal garden, built around a natural spring with medicinal properties. Visit the nearby Pari Mahal (Fairies' Palace) for panoramic views of Srinagar city. Evening: Visit the ancient Shankaracharya Temple (1,000+ years old) atop Shankaracharya Hill for a spiritual experience and stunning sunset views. Return to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Gulmarg Day Trip - Worlds Highest Gondola Ride
Early breakfast and depart for Gulmarg (55 km, 2 hours drive) - the "Meadow of Flowers" and Asia's premier ski destination. The scenic drive through Tanmarg (Snake Meadow) offers spectacular views of pine forests and mountains. Upon arrival, experience the highlight of your Kashmir trip - the world-famous Gulmarg Gondola! Phase 1 takes you from Gulmarg (2,600m) to Kongdori (3,080m) in just 9 minutes. Phase 2 continues to Apharwat Peak (3,979m/13,000ft), one of the highest cable car rides in the world. At the top, enjoy breathtaking 360° views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks including Nanga Parbat (8,126m). Play in the snow (seasonal), take photos, and enjoy hot Maggi/coffee at the mountain-top café. Afternoon: Return to Gulmarg base and visit the historic Maharani Temple, St. Mary's Church, and enjoy shopping for Kashmiri handicrafts. Optional activities include horse riding, ATV rides, and skiing (winter). Return to Srinagar by evening. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Pahalgam - Valley of Shepherds & Betaab Valley
After breakfast, drive to Pahalgam (95 km, 2.5 hours) - the stunning "Valley of Shepherds" located at the confluence of Lidder River and Sheshnag Lake streams. This picturesque town served as the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra. Check into your riverside hotel and enjoy lunch with views of the gushing Lidder River. Post lunch, visit the famous Betaab Valley, named after the Bollywood movie "Betaab" shot here. The valley with its lush meadows, crystal-clear streams, and snow-clad mountains is a photographer's paradise. Continue to Baisaran Valley, popularly called "Mini Switzerland" - a beautiful pine forest meadow accessible by a 30-minute pony ride. Enjoy panoramic views of the snow-capped mountains. Day 5: Sonmarg - Meadow of Gold & Thajiwas Glacier
Early breakfast and checkout. Drive to Sonmarg (80 km, 2 hours) - the "Meadow of Gold," named for the golden crocuses that bloom here in spring. The drive through the Sind Valley is breathtaking with the Sind River accompanying you. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and freshen up. After lunch, embark on a horse trek or short trek to the magnificent Thajiwas Glacier, located at 12,000 feet. The 2-hour trek takes you through alpine meadows, pine forests, and across streams with views of the glacier and surrounding peaks. At the glacier, enjoy snow activities (year-round), take photos, and sip hot Kashmiri Kahwa while enjoying the pristine mountain scenery. Visit the Nilagrad River confluence, known for its reddish waters believed to have healing properties. Evening: Return to Sonmarg town. Enjoy bonfire (weather permitting), Kashmiri dinner, and overnight stay in the peaceful mountain setting.

Day 6: Sonmarg to Srinagar - Shopping & Departure

Upon reaching Srinagar, visit the famous Lal Chowk (city center) and Polo View Market for authentic Kashmiri shopping: - Genuine Pashmina shawls - Handmade carpets - Walnut wood artifacts - Saffron (world's best quality) - Dry fruits (almonds, walnuts) - Kashmiri Kahwa tea - Papier-mache items After lunch (not included), visit the floating vegetable market on Dal Lake (if time permits) or do last-minute shopping.
